I wish our politicians gave a shit about fair and open options, but they sided with Comcast, Verizon, and AT&T refusing Google Fiber to be implemented across Nashville. On cable you get a great pipe down but limited upload. With Fiber you get consistent variables of upload and download. Xfinity may offer 1000 down but only 200 up whereas fibers for the same offers 1000 up and down. The closer the upload and download speeds the least amount of latency is caused on your end.

Xfinity has no upside. Worse product, worse value, worse stability, worse company. I’ve had a better experience with AT&T Fiber than Google Fiber. Over the course of 1 year with ATT we never had a single outtage. With Google Fiber since October we’ve had 4 outtages lasting several hours/days.
